EC Retreat 2021
EC RETREAT 2021
LV family, welcome to our 2021 EC Retreat!
Throughout 2020, Covid-19 forced all of us to quarantine at home and many of us lost not only our sense of community, but our connection with God. Praise the Lord that He’s given us this weekend to have this retreat so that we can reconnect again with Him and with His body. Our theme for this weekend is “Blessed To Be a Blessing” and that is what we are called to be…a blessing to others.
I’m so thankful to God for our anointed speaker this year…Pastor David Chang, who comes to us all the way from VA. Let’s continue to pray that Pastor David would be God’s mouthpiece and that His word “would accomplish the purpose for which it was sent.” (Is. 55:11) That is, to convict our hearts and to bring us to repentance as we learn about what it really means to be blessed by the Lord.
May we draw closer to Him as we hear the Word of God. My hope and prayer is that we will be refreshed and revived so that our community will be one of courage and confidence as we share the wonderful Gospel message of Jesus Christ!
In His grace,
Pastor William Pak

Sermon Saturday Night
seminars
Image of God (Pastor David Chang, Guest Speaker)
So much of our call to be a blessing finds its foundation in our identity, namely, that we have been created in the image of God. During our time together, we'll juxtapose the common understanding of deity and humanity in the ancient world with the Genesis declaration that we have been created in the Image of God. The goal is that we'll begin to see that from the very beginning, God created us to be a blessing to this world as bearers of God's own image.
Encountering World Missions (Missionary Raymond Song)
God has given a missional mandate to the church. In light of globalization, the question is how can we fulfill that mandate? This seminar introduces the exciting biblical, cultural, and strategic perspectives of encountering world missions. Special emphasis is given to why we do what we do and some important issues (worldviews, contextualization, etc.) in world missions. The outcome of the seminar is for the participants to learn how to be involved in missions meaningfully and effectively, and to help lead a missional church.
Christian Marriage and Family: Building a Healthy Legacy (Missionary Justine Han)
The Christian family and marriage seminar provides the basic biblical premise of marriage and family. It also delineates the parenting styles and promotes healthy family of faith in life. As we discuss the important questions of how we leave out spiritual legacy to the next generation, we will come up with some of godly suggestions to build our marriage and family for experiencing Kingdom purposes.
