House of Prayer
Pastor John Kim received a calling from God to go to Chicago and serve marginalized people like the homeless, drug addicts, and prostitutes. He obeyed and founded the House of Prayer Church. House of Prayer’s mission is to be friends of the homeless, sharing God’s love and grace with the underserved in need of spiritual renewal and basic human needs.
How can you serve at House of Prayer?
Worship/Prayer Ministry – Every Saturday night, they have a prayer meeting where they need faithful Christians like you to help lead worship and pray with the homeless.
Dinner Ministry - You and your team can cook dinner and bring it to be served after the Saturday night prayer meeting. You will get to meet Pastor John and his staff, spending your Saturday night with others, hearing inspiring stories and sharing good food.
